So I've been working on Fanfic today - this has been nice!! I recently realised that it's been like 9 months since I last posted a chapter - I could have literally had a baby in that time - for the record I havent!

Does anyone else get so mammothly stuck on their fanfics??? I've got about 3 chapters left to go and I just cant seem to get them out and done - does anyone have any suggestions???

Anyway, my aim is to try and complete & post at least 1 new chapter by the end of this month!!!



Have recently been reading [info]klmorgan 's fanfic commentary - if you havent seen it you should totally check it out!!! She gives real insight into how/why she wrote what she wrote and it's really fascinating - leaving me totally jealous of her talent!!!

wow not posted on here for a long long long time
 
So for some random reason i havent been playing on livejournal for over a year - well i'm back.

Quick update as to what's going on with me.....

I am now single -  broke up with my boyfreind of 4 years, which felt like the end of the world for a couple of weeks - and now i've realised it's one of the best decisions i've made in a long time

I'm now a proper fully qualified teacher and have loads of stuff to do (currently working a 6 day week - 8.00-5.00 plus marking at the end of the day) and i'm on the verge of collapsing from exhaustion - which is mostly due to the fact that we are due an inspection in the next 3 weeks - bring it on!

Fanfic wise, which is how i know most of you - i'm still plodding on - but very slowly, due to all the other very time consuming crap that i have going on in my life!

Please let me know what changes have been happeing to you lot

New Series of Doctor Who!!!

Just been playing on the beeb's website and the new series of Dr Who is starting on saturday, so I am very very excited!!!! 

I've actually just started work on a Dr Who fanfic, so I'm feeling very psyched!! 

going to be gutted when this series of torchwood ends though

So for all my lovely freinds who are members of the oubliette, it's been a bit sluggish lately, and I just came up with (what I think is) a really good plan!!!! So I'm posting it here for you all to marvel and wonder at (even though it might have been done before - but not to my knowledge)

What we're gonna do is pick a fanfic each month and then we're going to discuss it afterwards, but of analysis, what we liked, what we didnt like ect.

Dont know if any of you know this but I'm currently training to be a science teacher. I started my first school placement this week, which has been SUCH hard work, as the school we've been placed at is a 45 minute drive away in clear traffic and traffic jams on these particular roads.

Anyway, the school is great, , the kids are funny and challanging and the staff are great. 

However what is not so great are the other student teachers that I have been assigned there with. There's four of us in total and as we all live really close to each other we all car share. Well there's one girl who's pretty nice, however the other two are complete bitches. Dont wanna slag them off by name so lets just call them, say.....pig nose girl (wasnt me that made that up - tis true though) and crony. 
 
Crony, is ok on her own, she's one of those kind of people who would never start slagging somebody off - but the moment that someone else does she's right in there, the first one to join in. However pig nosed girl, is a real nasty piece of work - to the point that somebody actually warned me what she was like before we started. She goes out of her way to exclude me from the group - she never speaks to me, unless she has to, and even then it's normally to tell me in a roundabout sort of way that what I've just said is basically a pile of shit. (obviously crony follows suit). 

And even when she's not talking to me - or pointing bitchy comments in my direction she is so damn negative all the time, we keep getting stuck in traffic due to the fact that we have to travel on three motorways to get to work - there are accidents and shit happens, but all she does is complain the whole time, and worry about the science department having a go at us for being late (suprisingly enough they didnt because it wasnt our fault and there was no getting around it - which I said at the time, but as you are probably aware by now my opinion counts for nothing!)

I dont like to moan too much -  I like to think I'm normally quite an optomistic happy person - is it wrong that I just want the bitch to curl up and die???

fanfiction musings

I have a few questions for the general public, please tell me your opinions on the following:

firstly: how many WIPs do you thint it is acceptable to have at once before you become one of those authors that are considered to start new stuff but never ever finish old stuff?

secondly: TARDIS, Tardis or tardis? I know what it stands for, but not sure how to use it as a word.

thirdly: does anyone have any good fic recs that are finished that I havent read???

The Evil Spider Murderer

I'm terrified of spiders - really really hate the buggers!!!! Just went to have my pre-heros shower and there's a massive tarantula type creature in the bath tub! 

Anyway I hate killing spiders - I wont if there's someone else to get rid of them but I live on my own (at least until next week)

so my newest evil spider killing method - squirting them with bleach

Doctor Who Dreams

I dont know how many of you know this but I am a HUGE Doctor Who fan!!! I absolutely love it!!! And more than that I love David Tennant as the Doctor - I think he's an incredible actor! I also loved the series the most when it was him and Billie Piper - I think that they had a perfect dynamic and wonderful chemistry. I was gutted when she left and I didn't really like the way she was written out of the show (I still cried a little though!) Martha has now grown on me and I still think that the series is fantabulous!

Having now set the me and dr who background, I have to say I've had a couple of Dr who dreams lately, one was very strange and a while ago, however the other was last night. The dream was fairly Rose-centric, completely ignoring the events that had happened in doomsday. And in this dream the doctor had given rose a baby, a child who if left with it's unloving relatives that would grow up to do terrible terrible things. And in this dream Rose took the baby, to bring up and love as if it were her own child. It was very cool, as the doctor kept appearing, and as the child grew up strange things kept happening around them and the doctor was scared that rose would be in danger;  but she loved the baby so much, and she wouldnt listen to the doctor
